This free-standing small sculpture features a fragment of a Giant Kanooka (WaterGum) tree. It is believed by Parks Victoria to be more than 300 years old. This fragment was the result of remedial work carried out on this magnificent tree and the writer was fortunate to be passing by. (for further information Google Mount Drummer Rain Forest Walk, it’s 15km East of Cann Rivver in East Gippsland). The fragment is mounted on a river stone together with fabricated mild steel legs.
