Barque 1989

This small free-standing sculpture has as its vessel form shaped and stained 100-year-old recycled Oregon. The “travellers” are made from kangaroo bones which show their importance through the way in which their progress is aide by their feathery adornments. (Please note that at the time of producing this work the artist had a licence to collect the remains of protected species)
